DON'T BE AFRAID

“When you go out to battle against your enemies, and see horses and chariots and people more numerous than you, do not be afraid of them; for the Lord your God is with you, who brought you up from the land of Egypt." (Deuteronomy 20:1, NKJV)

As Israel was on the brink of possessing the Promised Land, it was well known by all that they would have to face many fierce and powerful enemies. Israel, being a people who were not really use to war, would have to go up against nations seemingly stronger, having more weapons, more soldiers and more battle experience. Yet, Moses encourages Israel to not be afraid "for the Lord your God is with you, who brought you up from the land of Egypt." Whereas their enemies seemingly had all the military advantage, Israel had something their enemies did not have. Israel had God on their side.

God's word for you today is the same as God's word for Israel through Moses “DON'T BE AFRAID.” DON'T BE AFRAID of what seems like the overwhelming power and the might of the enemy. DON'T BE AFRAID of the troubles that seem to team up on you on your life's journey. DON'T BE AFRAID of the many problems that arise that tempts your faith. DON'T BE AFRAID. Remember, you too have something and someone greater than your enemy and all your problems. God is with you. He promised that He would never leave you.

DON'T BE AFRAID today. Face your problems head on, knowing that you have the victory, even before the fight has begun. Know that there is no problem too hard that God and you cannot solve. Stand and face the enemy like the conqueror God has called you to be. DON'T BE AFRAID.
