DON'T COME DOWN

“I am doing a great work, so that I cannot come down. Why should the work cease while I leave it and go down to you?” (Nehemiah 6:3, NKJV)

Nehemiah spoke these words while he was hard at work rebuilding the wall of Jerusalem. The wall had been torn down many years prior by the Babylonian army. Nehemiah, while rebuilding the wall, had been requested by his enemies to stop working and meet with them to discuss the work. He realized that their request was simply an attempt to get him to stop the work all together. Therefore, he refused their request by sending word, "I cannot come down."

You too must recognize the attempts of the enemy to get you to cease from being what God has called you to be and do what God has called you to do. Remember, Satan uses circumstances, situations, issues and even people to "steal, kill and destroy" you. Oftentimes the very people who are close to you are being unwittingly used by Satan to keep you from your destiny.

Do not be stopped. Do not be hindered. Keep working to fulfill your God given dreams and aspirations. Do not fall to the various temptations designed to stop your progress. Recognize the enemy’s strategies and declare as Nehemiah, "I am doing a great work . . .” and DON'T COME DOWN.
