"And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: “Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!”" (LUKE 2:13-14 NKJV)
The announcement of the birth of Jesus the Savior by the angels to the shepherds was followed by "a multitude of the heavenly host praising God . . ." They gave God glory "in the highest" and declared upon humanity "peace, goodwill toward men." The angels were praising God, not for what God had done for them, but for the gift of His Son to and for us.
Now if the angels, who Jesus did not come to save, can praise God, surely we who Jesus was born for, lived for, died for and was resurrected for, can and should praise Him. If the angels can praise Him, we who are the redeemed because of Him, ought to praise Him.
Don't let the troubles of the day or life robe you of your praise. Don't let people, haters or enemies, frustrate you out of your praise. You have too much to be thankful for. Just think of His goodness to you. Think of all of God's blessings in your life and praise Him. Don't let anything steal your joy today. Just remind yourself, "Jesus did not come for the angels, He came for me, and IF THE ANGELS CAN PRAISE HIM . . .”
