“as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness . . .” (II Peter 1:3, NKJV)
Yesterday I shared from I John 5:14-15 that you can pray with confidence when you are praying the will of God, knowing that He hears your prayers and will give you what you ask. This is “CONFIDENT PRAYER.”
Today I want to share with you why you can pray in confidence. Peter tells us in this verse, “His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness.” Notice the message Peter is transmitting. His divine power “has given us all things.” Jesus, when He died on the cross and was raised from the dead secured for us, “all things” that we will ever need to live in this life. By His divine power, mercy and grace it “is” already yours. Therefore, when you pray, pray in confidence knowing everything you need and will need, God has already provided. You merely have to ask for what is yours, and He will give it. You do not have to beg or plead for it. It is yours. Do not wish, worry or wonder about it. All the blessings of God are yours, because IT’S ALREADY BEEN GIVEN.
