Know Who You Are

“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own

special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of

darkness into His marvelous light;” (I Peter 2:9, NKJV)

Do you know who you are? Do you know how powerful you are? Do you realize

you have been given the power to transform the world?

Peter reminds us in this verse that we are a “chosen generation.” We are the

generation that God has chosen and empowered to make a difference, not only in

the world today but for future generations to come. God has chosen us to

transform the world over to the Lordship of Jesus the Christ.

Peter informs us that we are royalty. We are a “royal priesthood.” We are not to

live as if we are poppers or no-bodies. We have been made kings and priest by

God. Therefore you must walk like you are royalty. Talk like royalty. Live your

life like royalty. You are royalty.

Peter also tells us we are a “holy nation.” The word holy simply means,

“Separated for God’s use.” When you are in Christ Jesus you have been separated

from the rest of the world to be used by God to glorify Him. God has separated

you. This does not make you better, but it does make you different. Don’t try to

blend in, you are different. Don’t conform to the world, you are different. God has

made you that way. Embrace it. You are chosen. You are royalty. You are Holy.

You are special to Him. Do not forget it. Don’t ever doubt it. You must KNOW

WHO YOU ARE!
