Live by Faith

“. . . But the just shall live by his faith.” (Habakkuk 2:4, NKJV)

The Bible is filled with the testimonies and examples of Biblical characters, both men and women, who either by force or by choice, lived their lives by faith in God. These individuals, be they put in situations where they HAD to have faith in order to make it, or CHOSE to have faith believing God for some promise or blessing, lived their lives dependently and/or expectantly upon God. We too are called to live by faith.

To live by faith is to put our lives completely in the hands of God, trusting and believing that He will work all things out for our good. To live by faith is to not be controlled, consumed or overly concerned with the negative circumstances happening around us, but to trust God to take care of us, no matter what the situation or circumstance. To live by faith is to do what God says do, even when it seems what He says makes no human sense or reasoning, knowing that God knows what is best for us. We who are His children, are called to live our lives knowing that our Heavenly Father knows what is best for us and He cares about us. We are called to trust Him in spite of what things look like or threaten to be. This is where our victory lies. This is where our confidence comes from. This is why we always have hope and joy. We, you, me, the just, the children of God through Jesus the Christ, are a people, who LIVE BY FAITH.
