"And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’” (Acts 20:35, NKJV)
The Apostle Paul here quotes a statement made by Jesus that is not found in any of the Gospels, yet it is very true. In essence that statement says, “It is a blessing to give.” In fact, as Paul states, “It is MORE blessed to give, than it is to received.”
We are more blessed to give because, if you are on the giving end, that means you have something. The receiver is the one in need. The receiver is the one who suffers lack. The giver is the one who already has. The truth is, we all have something to give. Be it our time, our treasure, our talent, a word of encouragement, there is something we all can give to bless others.
Experience the blessing of giving today. You might encounter someone in need today. When you do, give your assistance and give God thanks and praise that you are able to be a blessing to that person. God has given to you, that you might give to others. Don’t withhold the blessing. Give and enjoy THE BLESSING OF GIVING.
