You Shall Reap Joy

“Those who sow in tears, Shall reap in joy.” (Psalm 126:5, NKJV)

What a powerful promise God makes to us in this verse. “Those who sow in tears,

Shall reap in joy.” We, the children of God, are called to sow seeds of love, peace,

compassion, mercy, forgiveness and sometimes even our finances to bless and be a

blessing to others. We are called to love those who sometimes are hard to love and

serve those who many times have wounded us. Often we serve and show

compassion to others while we ourselves are hurting and in need. Yet, we must

know, our service and love are actually seeds sown that will one day produce a

harvest for us.

Do not fret or regret the good seeds you sow even if you have to sow them in tears.

Service to others, ministry to others, care and compassion for others is not always

an easy thing to do. Everybody wants love and wants to receive love, but some do

not know how to give love in return. Yet, we must not cease in our love for others

even though they do not reciprocate what we give and sometimes even hurt us

while we are loving them. The many tears that you cry in your care for others do

not go unnoticed by our God. In fact, your tears serve as water and fertilizer for

the good seeds you sow. Just know that though you sow in pain and in tears, YOU

SHALL REAP IN JOY.
